Who We Are
We are a research group at the University of Utah dedicated to improving the security and privacy of digital technologies. Under the guidance of Dr. Sameer Patil, our team includes Ph.D., Master’s, and undergraduate students working across human-centered computing, system security, and privacy domains. Our research focuses on understanding how people interact with technology and creating practical solutions that make digital systems safer and easier to use.

What We Do
We explore how people interact with technology to better understand their needs, behaviors, and concerns. Our research involves conducting surveys, user studies, and in-depth investigations into the human perspectives, ensuring that digital systems remain secure, privacy-conscious, and user-centered.
We also focus on user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design, creating tools and technologies that are not only safe but also easy to use and visually engaging.
